TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: FINISHING
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
FLSA STATUS: NON‐EXEMPT
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: FULL TIME
Position Summary: The Technician in the Finishing Department is responsible for performing all tasks involved in
finishing the company’s composite parts. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work
habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Performs proper sanding and polishing techniques
 Performs surface preparation, painting, finishing, and corrosion control techniques
 Verifies that work is performed in accordance with the operations policy and procedures
 Assures that all work records and statements of work are performed in accordance with the specifications,
and that all interim quality inspections are performed
 Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record (traveler)
 Daily verification that all product is properly identified and maintained
 Assures that all work areas are clean, orderly, and customer owned material requirements have been
followed at the end of the shift
 Responsible for maintaining equipment and tools in a serviceable and working condition
 Be aware of FOD & Tool control at all times
 Continuously demonstrate 5S Application
 Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role
 Other duties as assigned
