Please review the following job description:

Perform advanced analytics, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to generate actionable insights that improve business outcomes and support decision-making. Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions, working across a variety of structured and unstructured data environments. This role spans multiple experience levels, with scope and complexity increasing based on experience and ability to solve more ambiguous problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Develop, test, and deploy statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems
  • Translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights
  • Communicate findings through data visualization and clear storytelling to influence stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
  • Perform data preparation, cleansing, and feature engineering across multiple data sources
  • Write, maintain, and deploy code to support analytics and modeling solutions
  • Apply sound judgment and follow best practices related to data governance and risk management

Level Expectations:

  • Data Scientist I: Applies foundational knowledge to well-defined problems, working with guidance while developing technical and business expertise
  • Data Scientist II: Works independently to solve more complex and ambiguous problems, designs end-to-end solutions, and influences outcomes through deeper stakeholder partnership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis, and modeling techniques
  • Experience working with data in academic or professional settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python, SAS, and SQL
  • Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Strong data manipulation, querying, and analysis skills
  • Experience working with large, structured and unstructured datasets
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and model development
