Job Description:
At Regions, the Real Estate Banking Strategist assists senior coverage bankers in the delivery and execution of the full spectrum of banking products to Real Estate Banking clients and prospects. This position will coordinate activities centered on the execution of quote sheets, client pitches, engagements and group projects involving company analysis and internal reporting. Real Estate Banking Strategists work within the Income Property and Homebuilder Finance client coverage/origination groups for Regions Bank.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides high level leadership and execution support to senior bankers by generating ideas, overseeing various financial analyses, developing financial models, profitability analysis and executing recommendations for clients and prospective clients
- Provides leadership and training managing a team of analysts and associates
- Provides accountability for select client relationships and prospecting opportunities
- Performs comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research for the coverage team to generate strategic ideas and advice to clients and prospects
- Contributes to the preparation and content of client and prospect related materials, including quote sheets, pitches, proposals, client marketing and other associated offering documents and analyses
- Actively participates in client meetings, client planning sessions and weekly product partner meetings
- Communicates and collaborates with team members and product partners within the firm
- Manages several projects at once with the ability to work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
- May manage a small portfolio of client relationships
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with proven record of high achievement
- Five (5) years of real estate banking experience or equivalent experience in the industry vertical
- Advanced knowledge of traditional banking and and Real Estate Capital Markets products
Preferences
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Prior real estate corporate lending experience and credit training
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Energetic and creative self-starter with willingness to work long hours, and take on and successfully manage significant and multiple responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships
- Strong sense of personal accountability with a results orientation as part of a collaborative team environment

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
