At Regions, the Head of Corporate Finance oversees financial planning including budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation and strategic analysis at the corporate level. This position will provide strategic analysis and recommendations for complex business issues in support of corporate planning and performance. The associate in this role will drive operational excellence throughout corporate finance and planning division.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages a large and diverse team of finance associates to include a shared services team, business unit and corporate support finance teams
- Develops and drives finance strategy and achievement of functional excellence
- Leads a diverse team responsible for developing budgets, forecast and variance analysis working with the lines of business leaders
- Provides revenue and income guidance to shareholders based on budget and forecasts in support of the banks overall strategic plan
- Develops and presents financial plans and projections to senior management
- Manages strategic analysis and recommendations for complex business issues in support of corporate planning and performance
- Develops and drives finance strategy and achievement of functional excellence
- Maintains relationships with business leaders and key decision makers
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fifteen (15) years of financial acumen, business planning and performance, long term forecasting and strategic modeling or related experience, of which five (5) years must be in a managerial capacity
Preferences
- Master's degree in business, finance, or related field

- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Solid problem solving and resolution techniques

- Strategic thinking applied to business issues as well as finance staffing and overall functional excellence
- Strong advisory and influence capabilities
- Strong preference for this executive to locate in Birmingham
- Banking industry experience preferred
- Strong Financial Planning & Analysis experience is essential
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
