At Ascentium Capital, the Sales Development and Training Manager works in conjunction with sales and marketing to recruit, hire, onboard and train highly effective sales team members. This position manages and develops sales staff to ensure consistent execution of the sales process, ensuring sales and marketing goals are met.

Primary Responsibilities
Interviews and hires new sales candidates
Completes onboarding and training for all new hires and provides continual training for entire direct sales staff
Manages the team to Ascentium’s required sales activity levels
Provides sales coaching
Writes and publishes sales training materials
Collects and interprets data to determine effectiveness of training techniques
Strategizes new training methods to be implemented
Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies
Assists sales reps in all aspects of the sales cycle
Engages in one-on-one reviews with salespeople to evaluate and maximize performance
Leads team sales meetings on regular basis
Provides timely and accurate reporting as required
Performs other duties as assigned by manager
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Six (6) years of sales, sales training or sales management experience
Preferences
Financial services background
Direct sales experience
Previous supervisory experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
