EEG Tech, PRN

Overview:

This is a PRN position that could vary with days, includes weekends, hours of 8a-4p. If the weekend is on call, hours are reflective of the number of STAT EEG orders.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs various EEGs, producing acceptable recording in order to evaluate the patient's
condition.
2. Performs procedure according to departmental standard of care.; calibrates equipment,
makes appropriate markings and head measurement
3. Understands the medical implications for electroencephalography.
4. Recognizes abnormal test results, abnormal conditions that can be simulated by test
performances, and causes.
5. Performs administrative duties related to EEG procedures.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Entry Level
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS Certification

Completion of a one-year school of Electroencephalography preferred.
One (1) year experience as in EEG Technologist preferred.
