Supervisor - Coding Education

Description:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Oversees and monitors operations of coding education staff and programs. Establishes and manages integrated training and development strategies and programs for physicians and medical coders employed by Piedmont Healthcare. Develops and implements strategic needs analyses and training plans for the organization, coordinates and evaluates curriculum program, and supervises the preparation and delivery of training. Provides guidance to Revenue Cycle management in the implementation and administration of effective coding processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of Physician Coding/HIM experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
One or more certifications required: CPC, CPC-H, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
