Job Summary:

Design, develop, and maintain native mobile applications for Android platforms using Kotlin, and Java.
Implement clean architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVVM) to ensure maintainable and scalable codebases.
Write automated UI tests using Espresso (Android) as part of the CI/CD pipeline to ensure quality and stability.
Manage mobile app builds and signing workflows, including provisioning profiles, certificates, entitlements, flavors, and schemes.
Integrate third-party libraries and SDKs, such as Firebase, analytics, and location services.
Consume and integrate APIs, handling authentication, errors, and performance optimizations like caching and retry logic.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, product, QA, and DevOps to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
Integrate content from headless CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) into dynamic mobile interfaces.
Stay current with platform updates, tools, and industry best practices to ensure the app remains modern and competitive.


In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this individual contributor position is responsible for developing applications for Android and/or iOS devices under the guidance of application engineers by leveraging Agile methodologies to design and implement new customer-facing features; working with product management and UX teams to create fun, easy-to-use client applications which maximize the user experience; and adhering to standard mobile device security practices. This position will also be responsible for supporting the overall architecture of KPs mobile technologies.



Essential Responsibilities:


  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; supporting the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and two (2) years experience in software development or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Minimum one (1) year experience developing and/or implementing mobile applications.


Additional Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years experience programming applications for the Android platform.
  • Two (2) years experience applying Scrum development practices.
  • Two (2) years experience integrating API/services.
  • One (1) year experience working with mobile development or dev ops tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, XCTest, Gradle, Cocoa Pods, etc.).
  • One (1) year experience developing automated tests using a mobile device cloud (e.g., Perfecto Mobile, etc.).
  • One (1) year of work experience with CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • One (1) year of work experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure or IBM websphere application server.
  • One (1) year experience working with native mobile app build tools.
  • One (1) year experience working with native mobile app dependency management tools (e.g.,Gradle, Cocoa Pods, Swift Package Manager, Maven, etc.).
  • One (1) year experience developing HIPAA/PCI compliant applications.
  • One (1) year experience integrating third-party source code or libraries.
  • Two (2) years experience working with native mobile app DevOps continuous integration tools and technologies.
