SUMMARY
Hoshizaki America is looking for a Lead Engineer to strengthen how we develop new technologies and translate ideas into real engineering solutions. This role will focus on identifying new technology opportunities, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, and advancing concepts from early stages through feasibility before transitioning to product development.

IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
· Leads engineering programs that explore new technologies and product capabilities
· Works with Sales and Product Management to understand customer needs and market opportunities
· Translates opportunities into structured engineering efforts and defines program scope
· Coordinates cross-functional resources to develop, prototype, and evaluate solutions
· Drives initiatives from concept through feasibility, ensuring progress and alignment
· Collaborates with Technical Development to validate concepts and ensure technical readiness
· Supports transition of validated technologies into product development teams
· Strengthens how ideas move from concept to product within the organization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience
· Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives or projects
· Strong ability to work across engineering, product, and business functions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working in product development, manufacturing, or consumer durable goods industries
· Strong understanding of engineering processes and product development workflows
· Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or departments
· Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost considerations
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments
