JOB SUMMARY:
The Workplace Planning & Service Manager is responsible for Enterprise Print Services, Enterprise Software Packaging Services, and Planning Services to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of end‑user technology services. The position manages 4 FTE that directly oversee vendor contracts and service delivery. This position provides strategic direction and operational oversight for service execution, metrics, and continuous process improvement across all supported services. Process assessment and improvement are critical skills in working with the team to improve services.
Enterprise Print Services include oversight of two managed service providers. The manager is responsible for owning/renewing contracts, vendor selection, execution of end‑to‑end print service delivery, review and analysis of print performance metrics, and ownership of all processes. This role ensures vendors meet contractual obligations and service level expectations while driving efficiency and service quality improvements.
Enterprise Software Packaging Services include oversight of all software packaging activities and services, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable delivery of packaged software to the enterprise. The position is accountable for service performance, operational metrics, process maturity, and execution across the software packaging lifecycle.
Workplace Planning Services include responsibility for coordinating end‑user technology activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as major enterprise initiatives and project coordination. This includes planning, execution alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure successful technology outcomes for large‑scale business events.
All services under this role are managed through defined processes and performance metrics, with accountability for execution, continuous improvement, and service outcomes. The position provides direct leadership to four full‑time employees, including a Print Services Manager, a Software Packaging Services Manager, a Technology Planning Analyst, and an Automation Specialist.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree or actively pursuing a BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Extensive knowledge of Technology Service Management including demonstrated ability to create processes, manage via metrics, drive continual improvement in service delivery, and create budgets/forecasts.
Experience managing Managed Print Services and/or Software Packaging services is preferred.
Broad knowledge of End User technology.
Experience managing projects or services at scale.
Strong vendor / supplier management skills. The incumbent will collaborate closely with our vendor partners to understand emerging trends, improve our service offerings, and hold vendors accountable for the service level quality they contractually committed to. The incumbent should be able to interface with technology vendors to define roadmaps, escalate issues, negotiate contracts, and solve complex problems.
Demonstrated innovative thought process and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for self and others. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute implementations and improvement opportunities.
Strategy driven with a demonstrated track record of defining multi-year strategy, roadmap, and ability to execute.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Workplace Planning & Service Manager provides strategic and operational oversight for Enterprise Print Services, Enterprise Software Packaging Services, and Planning Services to ensure consistent, high‑quality end‑user technology service delivery across the enterprise. The role is accountable for service execution, performance metrics, process maturity, and continuous improvement across all services within scope. The role is directly responsible for strategy and roadmap related to all services.
For Enterprise Print Services, the position negotiates and manages enterprise print contracts and oversees end‑to‑end service delivery, including two primary managed service providers supporting small‑format and large‑format print environments. Responsibilities include ensuring vendor execution meets contractual and service level commitments, reviewing and acting on print performance metrics, resolving escalated issues, and owning and improving all enterprise print processes. This role provides direct leadership to the Print Services Manager.
For Enterprise Software Packaging Services, the position oversees all software packaging activities and services, including management of the software packaging contract and vendor resources. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and reliable delivery of packaged software, establishing, and improving service metrics, and driving process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability. The role manages the Software Packaging Services Manager and partners with the Software Lifecycle team to improve end‑to‑end software and vulnerability management.
The position also oversees Planning Services, including coordination of end‑user technology activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as major enterprise initiatives. Responsibilities include overseeing project coordination, assisting with project intake and approvals, and ensuring cross‑functional planning, communication, and execution alignment for large‑scale business events.
The Workplace Planning & Service Manager provides leadership for automation efforts across all services within scope, overseeing the Automation Specialist who partners across core services to identify trends, enhance monitoring, and implement automation solutions that improve service performance and operational efficiency.
Financial management responsibilities include ownership of budgets for all services within scope, including monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and development of the annual operating budget.
The position provides direct people leadership to four full‑time employees, including a Print Services Manager, Software Packaging Services Manager, Technology Planning Analyst, and Automation Specialist, with responsibility for work planning, performance management, coaching, and hiring and termination decisions
