Job Summary
The Bill Print Operator supports the daily production of customer billing statements, correspondence and refund checks using high‑speed and printing and mail inserting equipment. This role ensures accurate, timely processing of customer communications and supports special handling and refund check operations. Training is provided for all equipment and job functions. The position operates in a fast‑paced production environment.
Essential Job Functions
Operate various printers, including high‑speed printers
Operate high‑speed mail inserter machines to process customer bill statements and refund checks
Perform basic equipment setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting adhering to training and procedures
Complete special handling duties, including manual insertion of oversized mail, bursting and trimming special handling work, and processing customer refund checks
Verify printed, inserted, and manually prepared materials for accuracy and quality
Perform quality control checks to ensure correct counts and mail integrity
Lift, move, and stage mail trays, envelopes, and paper supplies
Operate a pallet jack to move pallets of envelopes and large paper rolls for printers
Maintain daily spreadsheets and production documentation
Complete ad hoc tasks and reporting to support daily operations
Meet production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance
Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
Must be able to operate material handling equipment (ie,; pallet jacks)
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience mailroom or print operations
Ability and willingness to learn operation of high‑speed mail inserting and printing equipment
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift and move mail trays, envelopes, and paper supplies
Ability to operate a pallet jack (training provided if required)
Basic computer skills, including use of spreadsheets
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a production, warehouse, print, or mail environment
Ideal candidate will have experience with Industrial Ricoh printers and Bell & Howell EVO producer high speed inserter machines
Basic mechanical aptitude or experience working with machinery
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM start time “Occasional earlier start time based on business needs”
Occasional weekend work based on business needs
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
High‑volume production environment
Standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks required
