Project Manager - Inventory Strategy
JOB SUMMARY
This position will provide project management, data reporting and analytics support for Inventory Control and Materials Management for Generation. Chapter 13 of the Generation playbook establishes the guidance and consistency to be followed. Employee will be Responsible for development, implementation reporting, and monitoring ofstrategic inventory initiatives such as Inventory Optimization, Parts Sharing and Technology deployment in supportof established goals for Inventory Management and Warehouse operations. This position will be responsible working closely with site Team leads, Materials Specialists, Warehouse Operations Managers, Category Managers and System Owners, to ensure that sufficient inventory is available at the best value while balancing risk and investment. The expectation of the position will be to support and promote Safety, Compliance, Customer Service, and Team initiatives in the workplace.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Analytical/diagnostic assessment skills are a plus
Experience
Previous experience with material management & inventory fundamentals desired
Power Generation, plant systems equipment, and maintenance experience desired
Data Analytics experience required
Project management experience desired
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate and establish inventory parameters and daily inventory transactions
Working knowledge of inventory analytics and forecasting/modeling concepts
Technically skilled in the use of SQL, Excel, Access, Power BI, and Maximo
Communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and suppliers
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel up to 25% of the time requiring overnight and out of town stay
Data analytics using SQL, Excel, and Power BI
Manage projects within materials and inventory management to help standardization across the fleet
Ensure departmental compliance with all policies and guidelines
Provide assistance as needed for Generation Warehouse teams
Interface with Material Team Leaders and Material Specialists across Generation to identify criticality of stock items, evaluate min/max levels, and item descriptions and ensure Maximo data integrity
Provide training to customers as required for Inventory Management and Technology enhancement to
Work closely with Materials & Supplies Accounting to resolve inventory discrepancies and process concerns
Support Chapter 13 and Materials Steering Committee directives
