Job Summary:

The Area Schedule Analyst is an essential part of the Project Management Organization tasked with coordinating and scheduling transmission activities for Georgia Power Company's Capital Projects. Utilizing Primavera P6 and Critical Path Method (CPM) techniques, the analyst develops and maintains project schedules to optimize timelines and align with objectives. Working closely with a project team, the analyst ensures that budgets, schedules, and resources are synchronized, leading discussions specifically on scheduling. Responsibilities include scheduling design engineering and construction activities, analyzing progress, resolving conflicts, and producing detailed reports for stakeholders to enhance transparency and support informed decision-making.

This position is on-site in Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

  • Utilize Critical Path Method (CPM) techniques to analyze and optimize project schedules, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule development and updates.

  • Provide timely and accurate schedule updates, forecasts, and reports to project teams and management, highlighting any deviations from the baseline schedule.

  • Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with project teams and partners to ensure alignment and address any scheduling issues or changes.

  • Monitor project progress and performance against the schedule, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions.

  • Ensure that schedule data is accurately and consistently integrated into project management systems and tools.

  • Support the development and implementation of scheduling best practices and standards across projects.

  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.

  • Provide training and support to team members and partners on scheduling tools and techniques as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in project scheduling, utilizing Primavera P6 and Critical Path Methodology.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners to achieve project goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other project management software.

  • PMP, PMI-SP, or related certification is a plus.
