The Enterprise Data & Intelligence Architect reports to the VP, Information Management & Analytics (IM&A) and leads the evolution of enterprise data architecture at DCCU. This role is accountable for strengthening enterprise data foundations through domain-aligned modeling, semantic consistency, master data cohesion, and long-term architectural flexibility. The Enterprise Data & Intelligence Architect provides architectural leadership in executing DCCU’s long-term data and analytics strategy by designing enterprise data structures that enable reliable analytics, cross-domain interoperability, and Member 360 enablement.
Working in close partnership with Data Engineering, Analytics, IT, and business teams, this role establishes architectural standards, applies pragmatic design principles, and modernizes DCCU’s enterprise data capabilities while ensuring alignment with governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Provide architectural direction and oversight for enterprise data initiatives, ensuring consistent enterprise entity modeling and domain alignment across analytics use cases.
• Lead the rationalization and modernization of enterprise data structures to improve semantic consistency, reduce duplication, and strengthen cross-domain interoperability.
• Define and govern enterprise data architecture frameworks, including standards, principles, patterns, and reference models.
• Own enterprise data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, dimensional, and physical) to ensure enterprise entity consistency, semantic clarity, master data alignment, and long-term sustainability.
• Define and formalize enterprise semantic modeling standards to ensure consistent representation of core business entities and their relationships (e.g., Member–Account–Channel–Interaction).
• Architect the structural foundation required to enable a unified Member 360 view, including consistent modeling of transactions, interactions, lifecycle states, and cross-channel relationships.
• Develop phased architectural roadmaps that strengthen domain alignment and support the evolution from reporting-centric models to reusable enterprise data foundations.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts that support business objectives, financial outcomes, data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and IT teams to maintain alignment within the broader enterprise architecture framework.
• Coordinate with Information Security, Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure architectural alignment with governance and risk requirements.
• Evaluate emerging data architecture patterns and apply them pragmatically based on organizational maturity and business value.
• Act as the architectural partner to data and analytics product owners, providing design guidance for enterprise data solutions.
• Lead periodic data architecture capability assessments and provide recommendations to advance DCCU’s architecture maturity.
