The Operations Advisor performs a variety of daily tasks related to the daily core functions of Daily ATM Check Deposit Posting and Balancing to support a fleet of 56 ATMs to include check image processing and research; perform Deposit Research and Member Deposit Adjustments; GL Adjustments for processing outages; process and balance Shared Branch Transaction Adjustments and Research; Mobile Deposit Exception Reviews and Processing deposit items; ATM Fleet Disputes to include camera footage review and processing; Remote Deposit Capture Channel (RDC Business Accounts) reviews and processing; process daily Member share deposits and loan payments received from the Lockbox; Process Returned Deposit Items and adjust member accounts; Process Collection Demand Letters for Returned Deposit Items with Bank of First Deposit (BOFD) to mitigate deposit losses due to RDIs; accurately Post miscellaneous journal vouchers for both debits/credits for Board Members, Human Resources, Employees, and Accounting while utilizing multiple General Ledger accounts for Delta Community; proactively process ATM processing errors by utilizing daily MicroStrategy reporting tools.
Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Process large volume of Return Deposit Items (RDIs) deposited via the ATM Fleet, Branch Network, and Mobile Deposit channels while completing a daily balancing file for the RDI processing with the Federal Reserve with consistent accuracy.
Create and Mail Demand Letters to the Bank of First Deposit (BOFD) for Fraudulent, Unauthorized, Altered and Fictitious deposit items for collection purposes.
Process daily Pre-RDI file to determine if deposited item(s) are to be paid for returned using mitigation processes to prevent a check deposit loss (i.e. transfer of funds, contact member for deposit, etc.).
Follow-up on BOFD Demand Letters using Akcelerant workflows for a 60-day period to mitigate RDI losses.
Make business decision to write-off RDIs that are deemed uncollectable from BOFD.
Process daily 4 large volume Mobile Deposit Files with little to no errors.
Process large volumes of ATM Deposits daily, while balancing the ATM Deposit File for daily accounting reconciliation.
Provide deposit research to reduce member impact and prevent losses.
Organize, File and Track Research Room to support a 32 Branch Network, must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Reviews, analyzes, approves or denies and corrects errors for members and other Delta Community business units using a variety of software.
Researches and resolves complex problems, answers questions and provides instructions for all levels of internal employees including management teams.
Reconciles related journal entries from information provided by various departments.
Assures that tasks completed meet quality and production standards by reviewing work for accuracy and proper completion including balancing and reconciliation of various accounts.
Review and investigate suspicious transactions or high-risk transactions to mitigate risk or loss to the member or Delta Community Credit Union.
This position is required to answer deparment calls (ACD line) as well process Incoming/Outgoing Mail, Faxes and Department Inbox.
Assist other departments and members with escalated requests, issues and concerns.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years’ experience in credit union or financial services industry.
Must be detailed oriented and work without errors within a General Ledger posting environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Must be willing and able to lift/carry/push up to 10 pounds daily, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Applies knowledge of credit union systems, policies, and procedures.
Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Explorer.
Ability to use business software applications including, but not limited to, Data Navigator (Co-Op Extranet), Money Gram,, Application Extender, Symitar, Vid-Center, Remit Plus, Vertifi, Akcelerant, Image Center, Client Management Tool and VISA DPS (CATS)
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of Shared Branching operations.
