The IRA Education Development Specialist is responsible for design and delivery of IRA/HSA training as well as development and maintenance of IRA/HSA/Coverdell ESA Knowledge Base content. This position oversees the dissemination of policy or operational changes to IRA-trained staff and maintains training materials to reflect leader approved enhancements. This position also performs daily account maintenance and transactions including opening IRA/HSA/ESA accounts, contributions, distributions, conversions, transfers and rollovers.

Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Essential Functions:
• Become Subject Matter Expert and train new and existing employees to respond to phone and online inquiries on the complex rules regarding IRA, HSA and ESA custodial accounts, offering guidance and direction as needed.
• Responsible for new and recurrent training delivered in-person or via MS Teams for frontline employees, i.e. Member Care and Branch Delivery Staff.
• Develop and deliver original training materials that promote creativity and innovation and follow learning design principles.
• Develop eLearning content and identify emerging technologies (apps, web-based games, etc.) to reinforce the learning environment.
• Facilitate core curriculum using the Knowledgebase to increase employee adoption and familiarity.
• Oversee the dissemination of policy or operational changes to business partners and maintain Knowledgebase content to reflect approved changes.
• Perform routine maintenance on existing accounts (including adding and removing beneficiaries, calculating and verifying RMDs, and Roth conversions).
• Support new and current employees in processing and handling administrative tasks within the department to ensure timely and accurate communication and record-keeping.
• Complete research requests and special projects as assigned.
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of financial institution experience
• CIP (Certified IRA Professional) or equivalent designation is required within 12 months of on-boarding
• Working knowledge of Symitar
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Competent communicator with experience training financial services through 1:1 mentoring or in a group setting
• Strong research and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated sales skills aptitude
• Ability to perform well under pressure and handle multiple priorities
• Willing to travel to Atlanta-area branches
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field
• Experience conducting IRA training for a self-administered platform
• Prior experience administering IRAs/HSAs and/or Trust Accounts
• Working knowledge of MS OneNote, iCareer, DocuSign and SharePoint
• CIP (Certified IRA Professional) or equivalent designation
• Certified Credit Union Facilitator or equivalent designation
