Reporting directly to the VP, Consumer Loan Originations, The Compliance and Quality Assurance Associate supports the Consumer Loan Originations team in ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations. This role works closely with Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialist, Legal, Compliance, Knowledge Management, and Corporate Training teams to review and maintain operational procedures and provide recommendations for improvements across the consumer loan origination process. Support internal compliance training initiatives, recurring and ad hoc projects, documents customer complaints, and helps maintain Business Continuity Plan.
Key responsibilities include assisting with monitoring and evaluating Consumer Loan Originations agent activities, including telephone call reviews, using a customized performance scorecard. Supports leadership by providing the tools needed to provide agents with consistent, fair evaluations and constructive, motivational feedback to help with continuous quality improvement efforts.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Essential Functions:
• Assist with adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations, including but not limited to Reg B, Reg Z, FACT Act, FCRA, and ECOA, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Use standardized scorecards and evaluation tools to assist with quality assurance audits and performance evaluations; record findings and escalate trends or concerns to leadership.
• Assist with developing and updating internal compliance training programs and support all compliance training initiatives
• Participate in team meetings, projects, training sessions, and other process improvement initiatives to support overall quality efforts.
• Support the review and maintenance of policy and procedural documents, ensuring clarity and accessibility for front-line teams.
• Assist in the preparation of basic compliance and performance reports under the direction of senior team members.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of compliance and training materials; regularly attend training classes to review and enhance content.
• Help maintain Business Continuity Plan to ensure readiness for unexpected disruptions.
• Help gather, document, and maintain records of customer complaints, following proper channels to ensure alignment with compliance and service standards.
• Assist in monitoring Consumer Loan Originations agent interactions, including telephone call reviews, for quality and compliance.
• Use data analysis tools to track and report on agent performance, call handling, and system usage metrics.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all consumer loan origination systems and software.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in the consumer lending industry or front-line financial services, with emphasis on loan origination, processing, and closing.
• Basic working knowledge of consumer lending regulations, including Reg B, Reg Z, FCRA, and other applicable federal and state banking regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and interact with leadership.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Self-starter, creative thinking, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Flexible availability to work a rotating schedule, including Monday–Friday (8:00 am–6:00 pm) and Saturdays (8:30 am–1:00 pm), as needed.
• Demonstrated professionalism, high energy, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including those related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other related field
• Credit Union or Banking Compliance Certification
• Previous experience with MeridianLink Consumer (f/k/a LoansPQ) Loan Origination System
