This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Wireless Electrical Engineering Intern in Atlanta, GA, with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.
- Work on cutting‑edge lighting control hardware design and testing.
- Learn and apply wireless communication protocols used in modern lighting control systems; stay current with emerging technologies.
- Perform DVT testing for sensors including Occupancy/PIR, Daylight Harvesting, RF range, and DALI/0–10V functionality.
- Innovate and contribute to IP generation by exploring new approaches to technical challenges.
- Participate in various projects across hardware design, simulation, validation testing, and cross‑functional collaboration with firmware, product management, and sourcing teams.
More about you
While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of analog hardware design and hardware testing, with hands-on soldering ability
- Familiarity with lab test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzer, etc.)
- Strong skills in design analysis, simulation, documentation, and engineering trade‑off evaluation
- Knowledge of or experience with wireless/IoT products (Zigbee, BLE) is a plus

This internship could lead to an at will full-time role in Signify.
Pay Rate: $23 - $31 per hour (based on year of study)
