Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to perform efficient administrative and clerical support for the daily operations of the Municipal Court for the City.
This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Essential Functions
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Performs a variety of clerical tasks in support of department functions, including but not limited to establishing and maintaining files and maintaining computer record keeping functions.
- Assist customers and other department employees by responding to questions.
- Greets and directs visitors, resolves routine administrative problems and answers inquiries concerning office and court activities.
- Receives and records court payments, balances cash drawer daily.
- Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, drafts or prepares responses to routine inquiries, prepares photocopies and facsimiles.
- Enters records into Courtware.
- Generates reports in response to customer/court requests.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of clerical experience.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
Annual Salary: $41,480.34
