Job Description
Experience
- 2,000 hours of experience as a chaplain after completion of all Clinical Pastoral Education units or 3 years of experience as a mental health professional
Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Behavioral Health or Master's degree in Divinity from an accredited graduate school of theology or equivalent and 1 year of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
- Association for Professional Chaplains certification or eligible
- Experience in employee wellness
Certification Summary
- No professional certifications required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience facilitating support groups
- Public speaking and presenting on emotional wellness topics
- Ability to provide one-on-one emotional support
- Adheres to confidentiality and therapeutic boundaries
Job Responsibilities
- Provides individual and team support to employees during periods of crisis to promote resiliency.
- Serves as a referral and connection to the employee assistance program for staff.
- Serves as a liaison for Strong4Life programming.
- Organizes and facilitates retreats, special events, memorials, and other staff-related special event services.
- Serves as a resource to various Children’s departments for planning and organizing special services and supporting departments during high acuity periods.
- Maintains knowledge of wellness trends and integrates best practices into programs.
- Reports program data and recommends opportunities for improvement.
