Job Description

Assists technologists/physicians with related modality procedures. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience

  • No minimum experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in patient care radiology

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Certification Summary

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance in maintaining smooth operations and patient flow.
  • Burns and/or upload CDs as needed.
  • Supplies information in the electronic medical record accurately while providing clerical support if needed.
  • Performs patient transportation needs for the department.
  • Demonstrates competencies that incorporate age-specific guidelines, including N = Neonate (less than 30 days), I = Infant (30 days to 1 year), EC = Early Childhood (1-5 years), LC = Late Childhood (5-13 years), A = Adolescent (13-17 years), AD = Adult, and ALL = all ages.
  • Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides effective education appropriate for learning needs of patient and family as pertains to their role.
  • Attends all required system and department educational opportunities.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion at all times, keeping radiographic rooms stocked with needed supplies, checking expiration dates on a daily basis, and reporting supply shortages to management.
