Experience
- Experience in building and maintaining customer relations (e.g., community partners, volunteers, patients, families, visitors, and system staff)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing volunteers, including recruiting and program management
Education
- Bachelor's degree
Certification Summary
- No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Exchange, or Outlook, as well as the internet
Job Responsibilities
- Supports day-to-day management of volunteer program, including recruitment (screening, orientation, and placement), appreciation/celebration programs, and donation support.
- Develops placements and programs that engage volunteers.
- Helps with or completes special projects.
- Assists with building and managing external relationships to fill positions (e.g., networking, advertising, associations, agencies, colleges).
- Plans, implements, and manages special events.
- Manages specialty in-patient volunteer groups, including promotion, recruitment, and facilitation.
- Ensures volunteers receive timely contact, feedback, and customer support.
- Meets with system representatives regarding positions, candidates, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervises department intern when assigned.
