Job Description
Experience
- 1 year of experience in wellness coaching or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or similar organization
- Registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration with Georgia license
- Experience in healthcare industry
- Experience in motivational interviewing
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise and Health Science, or related field
Certification Summary
- CPR
- Certified Health & Wellness Coach through an approved training program from the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment, manage time and multiple assignments, meet frequent deadlines, and shift priorities
- Excellent presentation/demonstration, verbal, and written communication skills
- Maintains knowledge of national wellness guidelines, recommendations, and best practices
- Ability to commute to multiple locations as needed
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge of national wellness guidelines, recommendations, and best practices.
- Conducts wellness assessments and consultations for employees.
- Develops and delivers customized wellness plans for employees.
- Works one-on-one with employees to help them achieve their wellness goals.
- Plans, schedules, implements, and/ or participates in wellness programs, activities, events, and activities sponsored by Strong4Life
- Coordinates administrative duties, including provides materials, data collection, and reporting.
- Visits to neighborhood locations to deliver wellness coaching presentations, consultations, or other wellness related activities.
- Regularly engaging with employees in their work settings and/or other parts of the hospitals promoting Strong4Life and wellness programming.
- Follows timely and secure documentation processes and procedures.
- Facilitates wellness activities for team engagements.
- Participates in content collaboration and creation for presentations, workshops, collateral, etc.
