- Experience in cardiology
- Experience in pediatrics
- Possess an understanding of electrocardiograms
- Training in exercise stress testing
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or Certified Cardiology Technologist
Certification Summary
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and arrhythmias
- Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities
- Performs electrocardiogram procedures for interpretation incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
- Performs cardiopulmonary exercise testing and stress echo testing with respiratory gas measurements and spirometry in a clinical setting incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
- Performs Holter monitor placement and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
- Performs tilt table exams and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
- Assist with pacemaker clinic as directed by physician incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
- Ensures accuracy of all patient documentation.
- Maintains professional development.
- Participates in the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
